We believe everyone should be able to attend Metalyard — no matter their budget. That’s why we intentionally keep ticket prices low and ensure honest, affordable food and drink. Because 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 – not with a thick wallet.

Research by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗝. 𝗠𝗰𝗟𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗻 (𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱) shows that metal fans are surprisingly loyal and empathetic. Her study describes a 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗱 where fans support each other through good and bad times.

A 2013 study in the 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗣𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 also found that metal fans are more emotionally stable and experience greater social support than fans of other music genres.

The negative stereotypes of metal as aggressive or antisocial continue to be debunked. In fact, the metal scene is a 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗻 for many — and that’s exactly what Metalyard builds upon.
