When we started planning Metalyard 2026, we had one big dream: to organize the festival’s very first open-air edition. Over the past months, we have taken huge steps towards turning Metalyard into a true family festival where great music, friendship and a strong sense of community come together.

However, we have decided to postpone our biggest ambition for one more year.

Not because we want less, but because we want to do it right.

Our standards are high. We only want to move outdoors when we can offer the complete festival experience that Metalyard deserves. That’s why Metalyard 2026 will take place at De Deele in Emmer-Compascuum, the Netherlands. But don’t worry—although the concerts will be held indoors, we will recreate the atmosphere of an open-air festival as much as possible. The metal market, band meet & greets, food, and the social heart of the festival will all take place outside, allowing everyone to enjoy the relaxed festival vibe that defines Metalyard.

Because Metalyard is much more than just a day of metal. It’s a place where fans meet, friendships are made, and everyone—young and old alike—feels welcome. That family atmosphere will always remain our greatest strength.

𝗧𝘄𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲–𝘂𝗽

We are proud to announce two more bands for Metalyard 2026.

AnomiC will open the festival! With more than 350 votes, the band convincingly won the official Metalyard Poll, earning their place on the lineup through the support of the fans. It’s a great example of how our audience truly helps shape the festival.

We are also thrilled to welcome a very special project from Helstar vocalist James Rivera. With James Rivera’s Sabbath Judas Sabbath, he will perform an exclusive tribute to the legendary Ronnie James Dio. Expect an unforgettable set featuring timeless classics from Black Sabbath and Dio, performed by one of the most distinctive voices in American heavy metal.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀

• Nefarious (USA) – A unique collaboration between renowned musicians from the international metal scene. Individually they have already earned legendary status; together they deliver a rare and unforgettable live experience.

• James Rivera’s Sabbath Judas Sabbath (USA) – An exclusive tribute to Ronnie James Dio, led by legendary Helstar frontman James Rivera.

• Wounded – One of the Netherlands’ most respected bands, known for their emotional and captivating live shows. This performance marks their long-awaited return to a festival stage.

• Mandator – Returning for an exclusive reunion show. A unique opportunity to witness one of the Netherlands’ legendary thrash metal bands live once again.

• Against Evil (India) – A band that has built an impressive reputation across Europe with outstanding releases and energetic live performances. Pure heavy metal with passion, power and conviction.

• Massive Assault – A cornerstone of the Dutch death metal scene, delivering years of experience, crushing riffs and uncompromising live performances.

• Wicked Leather (Spain) – Known for their infectious enthusiasm, powerful stage presence and high-energy performances, making them a perfect fit for the festival atmosphere.

• AnomiC – Winner of the official Metalyard Poll and the deserving opening act of Metalyard 2026.
